A virtual public meeting on the proposed increase to the tax levy for the Frankfort Free Library will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 7:00 pm. If you would like to participate in the meeting, you will need to provide your email address before May 26th. Your options include: email the information to, send us a message on our Facebook page or leave a message on the library’s answering machine at 315-894-9611.

The vote for the proposed increase will be held with the Frankfort-Schuyler School District Budget vote as in past years. An important reminder, if your household needs more than one ballot, you need to request additional ballots by calling the district clerk at 315-895-7781 or emailing

Effective immediately, the Frankfort Free Library will no longer have staff at the library to answer your calls.

Jervis Library in Rome has generously volunteered to field calls for the patrons in the MidYork Library System . If you need assistance accessing e-resources, or if you have other library related questions, please call 315-336-4570.

3/16/2020 Effective immediately, the Frankfort Free Library will not be open to the public.  We will be closed at least until March 31, 2020.  All programs and meetings are postponed until further notice.  Additional information and updates will be provided as they become available.

The library will be staffed to provide for very limited essential services by appointment only.    These services include printing, copying or faxes of needed documents including school assignments, tax forms and work related correspondence.  Staff will be available Monday through Friday, 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm to answer questions or to make an appointment by calling 315-894-9611. 

We will extend due dates on items currently borrowed and will waive late fees during this time.
